Legislative Agents and Their Employers
Please be sure to complete and submit your forms in a timely manner. The reporting periods and due dates for legislative agents and their employers are as follows:

The Commission considers updated registration statements timely if filed online, postmarked or faxed by the due date listed on the form. The Commission is permitted to grant a reasonable extension of time, for good cause shown, for filing the updated registration statement. Legislators, Candidates and LRC Major Management Staff
Legislators, candidates and all LRC major management staff are required to file a Financial Disclosure statement covering the preceding calendar year by February 15 of each year. There are two exceptions:
- A candidate for nomination or election to the General Assembly is required to file his/her statement no later than twenty-one (21) days after the filing deadline as set by the law or within 10 days of the filing deadline if it is a special election; and
- An individual appointed to a major management position in the legislative branch, including the positions of director, deputy director, or assistant director of the Legislative Research Commission is required to file his/her initial statement no later than twenty-one (21) days after the date of his/her appointment. See OLEC 95-3.
The Commission is authorized to grant a reasonable extension of time for good cause shown.(KRS 6.793)
